Local 3rd generation family owned/operated small business provides Private, custom Boat Charters, Day trips and tours of the Virgin Islands, with unique knowledge and understanding of local area, history & weather passed down 3 generations. Includes sightseeing, swim, snorkel, beach/bar hop, dine, shop, surf, kiteboarding, hike, cliff jumping & more. Choose duration, location, itinerary or we plan excursion! The boat is beautiful, very safe, smooth, comfortable, dry ride, award winning, "unsinkable" Cape Horn 31 XS model with quiet, reliable twin 250/300 horsepower Yamaha Four Stroke engines. Trip includes large (4') cooler w/ice, water, snorkel gear, noodles, fresh water rinse down, swim ladder, cushioned seating with shaded areas, 13 speaker JL audio marine stereo system comprised of tweeters, subwoofer, Bluetooth/USB/Aux chord connectivity/charging and all required US Coast Guard safety Equipment such as Life Jackets, Fire Extinguishers, Flares, VHF radio, First Aid Kit, Life rings.

The Baths

National Park, giant boulders the size of houses naturally occurring on pristine white sand beaches. Hike under, over and in between the rocks and beaches, snorkel the caverns created by the toppled granit, said to be remnants of ancient volcanic explosion.

Honeymoon Beach

One of the only beach bars available to visit in the national park, offers, drinks, food, cabana for shade, snorkel gear, kayaks, paddle boards and no car access, so must hike, shuttle or boat in!

Norman Island Caves

The real treasure island caves from the story by Robert Louis Stevensen, swim into the cave where actual pirate treasure was found, you can see out the entire time and are fully illuminated. Calm, clear water allows you to feast in the treasures below, bright coral, tropical fish and dark corners of cave where maybe you will find a lost treasure.

Memorable Day on the Water!

We had a fantastic day on the water with Captain Kyle at the helm of our charter boat! Kyle was kind, knowledgeable and fun, and the boat was clean and comfortable! We booked the day before and they were quick to respond and accommodate us. Our family was on board (ages 3 to 60 something) some easily sea sick. His seamanship was stellar and he knew how to navigate the waves for a super smooth ride. We didn't have a real agenda for going out other than to go to St. John for a bit and just be on the water. Kyle quickly came up with a plan full of fun stops to snorkel, see sea turtles, find calm waters for the little ones to swim and see some other sights - and he pivoted when we needed. Our day on the water was definitely a highlight of our trip! I would highly recommend Kyle and Local Legend!

Memorable Private Charter

Captain Chris was so knowledgeable and kind! Because our St John charter was cancelled due to less than ideal conditions, he came to our hotel and picked us up right on the beach. He then curated the playlist to fit our liking, took us to private snorkeling spots, and showed us two sunsets in one trip!

Thanks for making this trip so memorable for us. I would highly recommend Chris and Local Legend Boat tours for anyone thinking about it.

Amazing! Best boat charter ever!

I went out for a day of boating to St John. The boat was so clean and new. The captain was awesome. Friendly and jumped at whatever we needed. Even swam with our bucket of shoes to shore so we could hike. I was getting tired on the hike and he stayed by my side offering me his water and made sure I was okay letting the group go ahead of me.
Kyle is a gentleman with a great playlist of music too!
We went to all the best beaches and had an awesome lunch at Cruz Bay. Best day ever. I would highly recommend them!!

Amazing Boat Charter

Amazing experience! My family of four enjoyed seeing the US Virgin Islands from the boat. We loved getting to see St John. Captain Chris was so friendly and did a wonderful job showing us the beauty of the islands. We stopped at the pizza boat on Christmas Cove for lunch. He took us to some great snorkeling sites and saw some sea turtles. Highly recommend Local Legend, we would use them again in a heartbeat ❤️

We had an amazing time with Local Legends. Cpt Kyle was awesome - fun, professional, safe, and clearly wanting us to see and experience some of the most beautiful things in the water! We had a group of 4 adults, a 13yo, 10yo, and 3yo. All had a great time! Thank you - we’ll schedule again on our next visit.

Local legends is just that, history tales, etc. All the usual destinations are still a must. Soggy, Willy T's, sandy spit....been out with this outfit few times. Never a disappointment.

The most perfect day!

We had the most perfect trip to the BVI with Captain Jeff! He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. The first thing he did to impress me was by taking the time to go through the customs paper work with us to make sure we didn't make any mistakes and to make the process go as fast as possible. Secondly, his playlist was perfect for a Caribbean boat day. Everyone enjoyed all the songs he played and put us all in the best mood! Third, he made sure to explain the process of getting into the Virgin Gorda Baths very clearly so that we all knew what to do. The Baths were INCREDIBLE! On our way to our second destination, he added a bonus stop to an incredible snorkel spot and added a little history about the location, too! Lastly, when we got to White Bay he gave us his recommendations on all of the bars and restaurants. I'm so glad we took his advice because we had the best drinks and sandwiches ever!! Shout out to Jeff for being a wonderful captain and Local Legend Charters for an amazing day!

We had a fantastic day with Local Legend Boat Charters. Chris was very accessible for the few questions we had about booking. On the morning of our pickup (which was directly on the beach in front of our hotel, talk about convenient) he was in contact letting us know exactly what time he'd get us. Loved listening to the playlist on the boat on our way to the BVI. Accommodating in every aspect of the day. Would use these guys again!!

Chris made it easy to book. He was helpful, accommodating and flexible! Our Captain, Shel, was terrific, friendly, personable and very knowledgeable! Snorkeling was great and he dropped us at a low-key, awesome beach bar for lunch at our request! A great day! Highly recommend!

Great boat charter

Great time with Local Legend boat charter. Kris took us to 3 different snorkeling sites with great healthy corals and lots of fish. We had a wonderful day. I will definitely use them again next trip
