As a certified diver, I have only had experience in fresh water dives. I was a bit nervous about my first boat dive and first ocean dive. However, the dive master and boat captain made all of my nervousness disappear because of how prepared and competent they both were. The boat captain gave us an informative, yet entertaining, briefing prior to embarking on our journey. The ocean had some decent swells going on and he did his best to make sure the boat ride was a smooth as possible. The Dive Master was busy then entire ride out to the reef making sure all of the equipment was ready and functioning properly. Once anchored, the dive master briefed us on how we were going to dive. He reviewed all of the safety protocols and hand signals that we would need. Since this is a small boat, a back roll into the water was necessary. They clearly explained and demonstrated how the entry into the water would work. After helping all three divers into our gear, instructing us on how to make the entry, we descended for an absolutely wonderful dive. The Dive Master constantly checked on each diver while we were under. One diver had an equipment issue underwater and the Dive Master instantly sprang into action and remedied the issue as quickly and as well as possible. I was very impressed with how prepared he was.
First dive was Mingo Reef, second dive was Grassy Reef. We saw rays, turtles, trigger fish, and the largest French angel fish. We were hoping for sharks but didnβt see any.
I cannot complement this dive company enough! From beginning to end, this experience was top notch!! When back in St. Thomas, I will be booking with Coki Dive Center again!!

Great Refresher Course and Excellent Marine Life

Hello Everyone,
The diving is great here! We asked for a refresher dive and it was perfect, not too much information and basic skills in the water, then we immediately kept on diving and saw fantastic marine life! It was just one instructor for the 2 of us and that was great! It was the off-season so maybe during the busier months, this wouldn't be the case, but at any rate, it was great for us!
The value for the money is great, and all of the staff was attentive, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Great dive center!

Squid the dive instructor was freaking amazing. Learned so much got certified and I'm even more in love with diving now. If he invites you out for a celebration beer after you get certified go, because him and all his over diver friends are amazing to hangout with and enjoy the island. Shore dive

We had a great shore dive today with the owner. The whole vibe is very chill and the staff was knowledgeable. We had a newly certified diver in our group and our DM made sure he was comfortable and even gave some tips on how to continue diving in the future! Will definitely be coming back!

We had an amazing dive with Tristen today. I hadnβt been diving in over 8 years and had many issues as I rediscovered the beauty of scuba diving. The success of my dive was all made possible by the kind patience and great experience of Tristen. He clearly loves what he does and it shows. We saw so many beautiful creatures with Tristen as our guide. Peter who owns the shop was also very helpful and kind getting us signed in and started. Would 10/10 recommend diving with this great instructor and company. (My other daughter had Lanie and she was wonderful as well!)
Great diving Coki Beach, St. Thomas

I was going to dive in St. Thomas with my son, a present for his 40th birthday.
A day when the sea was choppy, we were told that there are beach dives at Coki Beach.
At the Coki Dive Center we got our gear and went to the shore. There our divemaster, Truscott, took us for two dives, one to the east and one to the west. On coming up from the first dive we were met by 2 dolphins!
On a following day we took their boat and on the last few minutes we encountered a nurse shark.
They offered also a night dive, eagerly taken by my son.
For the non-divers, right next door there is Coral World.
A day when the sea was choppy, we were told that there are beach dives at Coki Beach.

Great Refresher Dive

After a 3 year delay due to COVID we wanted an easy dive and Coki Dive Center provided the perfect option. We were on a cruise in port only for the afternoon so we signed up for the single 1:30 PM beach dive. Plan on a 25-30 minute taxi ride from the pier at a cost of $25 for 2 each way. Another couple from the cruise joined us so there were 4 of us with our dive master Guy. He provided an excellent briefing and he kept a relaxed pace during the dive. Entry in and out of the water was pretty easy with very little waves. The reef was right off shore at a max depth of 55ft. There were plenty of fish to see and we managed to see 2 sea turtles as well. There is a locker to store your bags while diving. There are bathrooms and a place to change next door. You do share the small beach with other people, but this was not a problem.
Great Boat Diving Experience in St. Thomas - Coki!

If you are diving in St. Thomas, you must try Coki Dive Center for boat dives which go to the north and south of the island. Peter and Crew and Cesar were incredible divemasters and showed us the best places in the reefs. It's a small boat with just a few divers so we got personal attention to every detail of our equipment and the dive. If you plan to stay at Point Pleasant or at Margaritaville, the dive center is a simple 5-10 minute walk. We chose to stay close to the dive shop so we could get there easily in the morning for the dives, and then explore the island in the afternoon. Highly recommended!

Really crowded beach, $15 per person cab ride to/from downtown, dive was just ok.
Staff were friendly but stressed with number of people. Sometimes your dive can be better/worse based on other divers in the group. Ours leaned a little to the worse. A younger diver shot to the surface in the middle of the dive.
Overall it was fine but probably wouldnβt do again
