About this activity

No overcrowding. This is a semi-private charter departing from Water Bay; home to Point Pleasant and Margaritaville Resort. A maximum of 12 guests will enjoy a 4 hr snorkel and beach adventure to St John. At one of the many snorkel spots around St John (Trunk or Maho Bay) or nearby Cays (Lovango) you will snorkel and explore coral reefs that are home to an abundance of tropical fish and other sea life including turtles. Once the group is finished snorkeling, enjoy complimentary soda, beer and rum punch. After snorkeling, we will sail you away to either Hawksnest Bay or Honeymoon Beach at Caneel Bay (weather dependent). Perhaps the prettiest beaches in the Virgin Islands, you will enjoy the white sand beach and crystal blue waters. You can visit Bikini's Beach Cafe where Pain Killers flow freely. Guests will enjoy our state of the art MV Island Flyer power catamaran

A great day on the water!

We just got back from our time in St Thomas. We own a condo at Point Pleasant and always find a way to get out on the water when we go. We are excited to have Seas the Day start having excursions out of Point Pleasant and we wanted to check them out. The booking process was seamless and appreciated the “we will see you in a few hours, please let me know if you have any questions” text from Captain Maddy. She was great-start to finish. Safety and fun were her top priorities. We had a nice size group of 6. Maddy took us to Lovango and Christmas Cove off Great St James to snorkel. Both were great spots. After the second snorkel, Maddy gave us the option to snorkel again or just tool around the islands, which our group opted to do. Beer, soda, water were offered throughout the trip. Overall, it was a great way to spend 4 hours and also at a good price point per person. Would definitely use Seas the day again and if you are lucky enough to get Captain Maddy, you will not be disappointed!!

Captain Maddy was very interactive with our group! She was a perfect fit for a large adventurous family. We have done this several times but I highly recommend Captain Maddy.

Fun Day on the Water

While staying a week on St. Thomas we wanted to day charter a boat to spread ashes of a loved one at sea; but after that also enjoy a day of cruising around the islands and snorkeling. Though we were booking something that could be a heavy day; we also genuinely wanted to have fun day on the water too. So, after many hours looking at various other day charter options; we chose to rent Island Flyer for its shade and stability while cruising. It came with all the snorkel gear for our group of 5 though at 36’ long and 16’ wide, it was spacious enough larger groups of up to 12. Island Flyer also has its own bathroom; that despite my 8yo looking forward to using it…we thankfully did not need, though it was nice to know it and an area below deck were both available to us. We rented Island Flyer for the whole day with desire to island hop and snorkel after the ashes were dropped. We felt lucky it was Captained by the capable and knowledgeable Maddy. Her calm on the water was quickly evident and it set us all at ease. She delivered exactly the experience we asked for with respect for the loved one’s ashes. She also delivered on the wildlife we asked to observe and was great making our boys first time snorkeling an awesome and memorable experience for us all. We let her be our guide to St. John from the water and she delivered on the day we asked to cruise and snorkel. Our kids were very excited they got see sea turtles and shipwrecks! While I was excited to know that like any seafaring Pirate worth her salt; Maddy was no “fun police” for us, she also makes fantastic Rum Punch and spot-on dinner recommendations. What was planned in advance to be a “tough day”; wound up being such a fun and memorable day for our family thanks to Seas the Day/Island Flyer and Maddy, thanks again.
